Valued OHD Clients,
The OHD leadership team continues to monitor the evolving global response to the spread of the novel coronavirus. Our primary concern through this situation is the health and safety of your employees and their families, as well as our own personnel. Toward that end, we have implemented new protocols to help prevent exposure in response to the current pandemic.
New OHD Protocols during pandemic
- All OHD Staff will pass an internal pre-screening before beginning a screening event:
- Temperature of less than 100.4 degrees
- Survey questions consistent with CDC recommendations to determine elevated risk
- Given that OHD sends 1 extra staff for every 3 staff needed, we can afford to send staff home without affecting the capacity of a screening event should anyone not pass the pre-screening process.
As we stand today, clients are of two minds. Certainly, some clients are choosing to postpone screenings to maintain as much social distancing as possible. Other clients, however, believe that “Now, more than ever” they want their personnel to understand whether or not they have underlying health issues. As such, clients have requested changes and extensions to what would be considered normal OHD screening services. We have already mobilized to execute these client requests.
- Perform a pre-screening of participants at client onsite screening event before entering the screening venue utilizing the same OHD Protocols that OHD utilizes on its staff (see above).
- Perform a pre-screening of client employees before they report to work each day utilizing the same OHD Protocols (see above). Note: this pre-screening happens daily and whether or not the client had scheduled an onsite wellness screening event.
Of course, OHD has performed screenings during the normal flu season for years, utilizing best practice hand sanitization and equipment cleaning procedures. We are also formally reminding our staff of the World Health Organization’s best practices to minimize the spread of infectious disease:
- Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly for at least 20 seconds
- Maintain social distancing to the extent possible
- Avoid touching your face
- Practice respiratory hygiene – cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze
- Monitor your health – if you have a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention.
We understand your concerns and are here to accommodate your specific situation as best we can. While this season is a trying time for all, we look forward to the end of this season when we can look you in the eye and shake your hand again on a more regular basis.
